Acne Treatment
What does the treatment involve?
The treatment itself is simple and very fast, about 30 minutes for a full facial treatment, and is totally safe leaving no signs on the skin surface. This is because the laser works on the lower surface or Dermis section of the skin where collagen production occurs. As a result you can have a treatment during your lunch break and return to work with no visible signs of treatment.
The treatment is suitable for a number of areas including eyes, mouth, forehead, cheeks, neck and can be used on all skin types. Unlike other laser resurfacing treatments it is a painless procedure requiring no recovery time, and you will only feel a mild tingling sensation as the laser light is absorbed in the skin.
How many treatments are required?
Acne has been shown to significantly improve 2 to 4 weeks following a single session. Patients will usually receive treatments 2 weeks apart. Combination treatments such a microdermabrasion exfoliate the outer layer of skin, complimenting and enhancing the treatment.
Results are seen after 1 to 3 months. Vascular lesions depending on their type and severity are selectively destroyed. Spider veins can take as little as 1 treatment, whilst other types may need several treatments.
