What does the treatment involve?
Over time the movement of our facial muscles gradually wears away the collagen in our skin causing it to crease, which leads to the formation of wrinkles such as worry lines, frown lines and crows feet. Allergan Botox® treatment involves injecting a small amount of Botulinum Toxin directly into certain facial muscles relaxing them and smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles. It is a virtually painless treatment and one which is widely used and well tested.

 
How many treatments are required?
Results should be seen after the first treatment, although it typically takes between 5 and 8 days for the treatment to take effect. The results should last for around 3 or 4 months but this varies from patient to patient. With regular treatments you’ll see longer lasting results and we’ll advise patients on an individual basis how often they need to come back.

 
Hyperhidrosis Treatment
Hyperhidrosis is excessive sweating caused by the brain stimulating the sweat glands. This mainly occurs in the hands, armpits, feet and face but it can sometimes occur across the entire body. Allergan Botox® can be used to treat this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. Most patients see great results within a few days of the treatment but the effects are not permanent and you’ll need to come back regularly, every 7 months on average.
