Areola restoration
What does the treatment involve?
Areola restoration is a procedure carried out after a mastectomy and post reconstructive surgery. A mastectomy is when a lady has suffered usually with breast cancer and has had to have the breast or part of the breast removed. In most cases the lady will lose their nipple during the surgery. Areola restoration can help those ladies to recreate the nipple with semi-permanent make-up, so giving back some self esteem and confidence.
How many treatments are required?
The treatment involves a consultation, a patch test and a possibility of two treatments, which will be discussed at your consultation. The treatment last for approximately 3 to 5 years, but top-up treatments can be carried out. Some aftercare is required.
